Hey! I'm Tracy!
This is my first week using the FitBit One. I'm loving it so far, but I feel like it could be a lot more fun if I was able to communicate with other users, and we could reach out to each other for advice and/or motivation! I would also love to exchange meal ideas. Smiley Happy
I have around 40 pounds to lose and I'm super pumped! I would love the support and to also show support to others. Heart

Hello, I am searching for friends to get me motivated.  It has been very hard to turn my walk into a run.  I have a family member that is getting married in november.  I need to loose at least 20 to 30 lbs so I can look great in my party dress.   Not sure on how to add friends.  So please add me Smiley Happy

I think it involves privacy settings and giving access to your contact list. Not sure I want to do that part!

I just received my fitbit this week. I have about 12-13 lbs to get to my goal weight. I've been using Weight Watchers but have plateaued so I thought now is a good time to try something different. My aunt mentioned she had a fitbit and I had no idea what it was. I thought it looked like a cool tool to help keep me active. So looking forward to working with you all to live healthy and be more active.

Hey there! I just saw your response I found the couch to 5K app by the active network (active.com) to be huge in making the transistion from walking to running. It starts you out with walk jog combos. When I started the 1 minute jog sounded so daunting but it really does work and before long you find you can run 20 minutes at a time. You might try that.

It was my Day 1 and i completed 10K steps for the day already... I am loving it. Can you help me understand how to find and add people on fitbit so that all of us can stay motivated. I dont know anyone who has fitbit. I was hoping to start with you guys !!!!

Hi Denise. I am sure it would be great to have a network to help us all with motivation. The only way I see to get friends through fitbit is to give the program access to all contacts which I am reluctant to do at this time. If anyone knows a way without doing this please let us know!

Hi I'm on a mission to i need to lose 30 pounds I am currently heavy 216 pounds motivation is the key I'm looking for friends that are able to help if there's anybody who wishes to join me it would be fantastic

I am close to the same weight as you 213 here.  Want to lose 63 . Add me as a friend. Maybe we can stay motivated.

Hi Everyone! Just joined The beginning of October and looking for some friends and motivation. I've gotten pretty fluffy over the past three years and I am trying to shed some of it off. I've used weight watchers before, but gained the weight back. I also work night shift, which makes it very difficult for me to be motivated to move. So far, I've been more motivated to exercise instead of sleep all the time with the Fitbit!

 

Excited for this fitness journey!

Same here. Can't tell you how many times I've lost weight and gained it back. I know what it takes but I can't seem to get the weight off. I try to do my  10,000 steps a day. I can get my walking in but I can't seem to get the eating under control. What's it gonna take to get in gear.

HI Denise 71.  Congratulations for your 10K steps per day.  I just can't seem to get there unless I am out with the search and rescue team.  That is a killer workout, up and down a mountain side over 3 hours time.  I thought I was having a heart attack at one point and had to slow down.  But I'm still motivated to keep trying.

Good morning everyone. I received a couple msgs and see a few posts above about how to add friends. It's easy. Just tap on the person's name and go their profile. To the right you will see "add friend" and that's all there is to it.
My experience with friends all over the country cheering each other on has been amazing!! Even if it's just a "cheer" you receive or send to someone else... it motivates me to do better every day.
