I've had my fitbit for bout a week now, not sure if I'm seeing any results yet but I am feeling better. Looking for friends to keep me motivated so this "diet" (I'm calling it a change for the better) lasts more than a week. I'm trying to lose 40 pounds by early next year, but my overall goal is to get to 150 which is my "ideal" weight for my height and age. (Let's just say to get to that it's a lot more than 40 pounds XD)
I do like this little gadget though, it's help keep me on track more than any past diets have especially with the calorie counting, the visualization aspect is phenominal. I've got the flex and i havent taken the thing off since i got it a week ago ![]()
I wish it helped you track your activites better though, how am i supposed to know how many calories some of these activites burn? But anyways, just wanted to say hello and if you have any questions feel free to ask ![]()

Hello @SherlocksBum and welcome to the Fitbit Family!
I have found this thread where plenty of women who, like you, want friends as well ![]()
Also, there is this thread that has plenty of members adding eachother and; last but not least, this one has a huge amount of friends to add.
As a personal recommendation, follow your food plan as a guide and make sure you write down your meals as soon as you are about to get them; this will prevent the moment where you are holding your food log and remembering how much you ate and underestimating amounts. I have a tiny notebook where I write down the meals and their weight, so when I'm ready to write them down, they are accurate.
Get a food scale and measure everything. Increase your water intake and find different sources or variations for the meals you love that won't take a hit on your caloric budget.
Have a rest day! Enjoy your food and don't miss out on the opportunity to eat different.
Good luck! Let me know if you need any help ![]()
PS: your username is really really cool and it makes me think of BBC's Sherlock ![]()

Thanks for all the links, I'll be sure to check them out!
I've been bad the past couple of days with my food log, but I do have a journal that I make sure to record in so I wont forget when I update my dash. Lack of smartphone and work computers with intranet only means I can only sync and update things when I'm at home or get access to a laptop, but I'm making it work!
P.S. it is a refference to BBC Sherlock hehe ![]()
