Absolutely! You're body is changing, and that tiredness is a reaction. Thyroid issues also make you tired, as do stress and being overweight.
Stick with it! Get some real rest at night (not just sleep, but rest). If you're way tired during the day, take a walk to see if you are actually needing sleep, or your body is just saying, "Stop it, go back to your old ways". And if it's sleep you need, get some! Nothing wrong with a nap.
Soon you'll be able to make it through every day. But every now and then you're body will signal that it's tired, and that walk around will tell you if you're really in need of sleep. Walking... it's the new caffeine!

Welcome to the forums @SunsetRunner!
I agree with @PamelaHazelton on this. Keep in mind that your body has not been used before to this sudden change of food and exercise, so it may take a while before you get used to the whole ordeal.
Also, I would recommend to check with your doctor to see if your medication is in order and if you are in need to cover your micronutrients, take a rest day or a nap every now and then; we all need a break!
Hope to see you around the forums, let me know if you have any questions

Are you taking enough liquids? Dehydration also makes you fatigued. A lot of people need more than the daily recomended 64oz. I myself drink at least 100oz a day and more when I do high intensity excercises.
If you want to go down to the mehanics of how dehydration would make you tired, dehyrdation thickens your blood, your heart will have to work harder to carry your blood to organs, tissues, etc.
If you are not already drinking, a few cups of coffee throughout the day also helps with energy.

Thank you for all your replies guys
I'm trying my best to drink more water, but I do sometimes forget!
I'm going to make that my focus this week I think, I've been drinking between 1.5 to 2 litres a day but I do sometimes feel thirsty in the evenings, so I could probably do with more.

Another tip - whenever you are hungry, drink some water first. Good for you, and sometimes you're not really hungry!!
