I'm not new to fitbit, I have been around since 2013, but would like to have some friends. My "in person" friends have bailed on the fitbit scene and therefore I don't have anyone to try and compete with now and then.
I have lost 30+ pounds due to the technology (i have bobbed up and down), plateaued and gained a little back last year due to school kicking my butt (really really kicking my butt), and looking to lose 15 more to reach my ultimate goal weight / BMI, smack dab in the center of the scale of what is considered healthy for my height and age (I did math!). I am almost there! I get anywhere between 5,000 to 10,000+ steps per day depending upon the day. My step goal is currently 7,500 and I'm waiting on a fitbit feature that'll keep previous goals in tact before upping it to 8,000 or more (I don't know when that'll happen or if it'll ever happen). I work in an office job that requires me to sit most of the time, but also I get chances to walk around (I work at an architectural firm). I also attend school online, which keeps my butt planted on the couch sometimes. Anyway, I'm looking for friends who will challenge me to be my best, and I will of course do the same in return. 🙂
I will be training for a 5K that'll take place in April using the couch to 5k program.... once the weather warms up a little here in Michigan so I can use the local trail to get used to jogging on pavement. I also do a small amount of blogilates/pilates, and starting the beginners calendar Feb 1st!
Feel free to add me. Would really love some friends to try and keep up with / compete with. 🙂
Thank you!
