Is there any way to gauge the calories burned daily with the nursing. Nursing Mothers burn 500 calories a day producing milk... how do we calculate on the Fitbit app?

Hi @newmom42,
There's no adjustment to be made on the calories burned. That's calculated automatically.
If you are logging /food with the fitbit app, you can set a weight plan with a 500 calorie surplus.
You can also add your vote for a Pregnancy and Nursing Mode.

You would think after 6 years of pregnant/nursing mom's asking for more features to improve caloric intake/burning - that Fitbit would actually do something...
The only workaround I've found is to create an activity - labeled pumping/breastfeeding I estimate it to last 5 hours and burn approximately 500 calories for the day. This way I only have to do it once (I mean really, our bodies are burning those calories all day long, not just when we express). Other's have estimated 20 calories/1 ounce. I don't always pump, and I estimate my baby is getting 25 ounces throughout the day. This may increase as he gets older. I set my own caloric intake needs and don't use the input/output function.
