Are you trying to set it up from your phone or from a PC? I can't remember how on the phone, but on your computer it's super easy.
Go to "Log" at the top of the screen if you're on the dashboard. It should default to the "Food" tab.
Scroll down just a tiny bit to the part that says "Food Plan" and click on the right arrow twice. You should end up with something that says "Edit plan." Clikc on that to change how much of a caloric deficit you want.
Keep in mind that more is not always better. I'm at a 750 calorie deficit because I still have 40 pounds to lose. Once I hit around 30 pounds to go, then I'll probably bump it down to a 500 calorie deficit. Close to my goal weight? 250 calorie deficit. If you don't have a lot to lose and you set it really high (like a 1000 calorie deficit) you will actually struggle with losing weight a lot more.
