What are some of your favorites? I generally grab a recovery blend smoothie from the gym after my workouts but beforehand I'm doing a pre workout smoothie consisting of chocolate almond milk, 1 tbsp of smart balance peanut butter, and 1 frozen medium banana. Anything you guys take that helps give you that extra boost?
Thanks!

No particular regime.
A protein shake afterwards if I remember, 50g of peanut butter before if I'm peckish, got a pre workout drink on the way

When I run on the weekends, it's really early, so I just go for it and eat when I come back. I know I should eat something pretty soon after, but that's my Big Breakfast day with The Boyfriend, so I have a 3 egg omelette with black olives and mozzarella about 3 hours later. ![]()
I go to the gym after work twice a week too, and I usually have either a banana or an apple or a granola bar a little bit before I leave work. By the time I get to the gym, it's digested and I don't have any stomach problems with it. Then, when I get home, I have a glass of half chocolate milk and half whole milk. Then I make myself an egg sandwich (two eggs cooked like an omelette, on bread with mayo).
Can you tell I like eggs?
I despise eggs, like with all my being. Unless it's an ingredient in a food I won't eat them. I've tried because I know they are packed full of goodness but nothing I add to them makes them bearable! lol
Eggs are a bit hit and miss, I'm lucky enough to have my own chickens so my eggs are awesome, but even so, I quickly tire.
Grilled Omlets are good 6:1 eggs to cheese
We have our own chickens as well and have fresh eggs, I notice the taste of those are WAY better than store eggs, but it still makes me gag when I try. I've been trying to get other protein packed foods without having the added sodium or fat
Best AnswerMy Pre workout arrived
Wow
Check the Caffeine.
I'm pretty much Caffeine dependant, mine contained 200mg of caffeine per serving, which is about 6.5 cups of instant coffee.
I absolutly smashed my running records, but I've crashed HARD afterwards
Best AnswerHoly Crap that's alot of caffeine!!
I cut out all coffee and soda/tea back when I started my diet in June. I have not had caffeine since then. I'm scared to try out a supplement packed with it.
i usually eat my 5th meal a hour prior to working out (Chicken, Cucumber and Celery) then after the gym which is roughly 2 hours i have a protein shake and thats the last meal. i take lean active 7 which is great ! absolutely love it from "total nutrition." This works for me to stay energetic.
Best AnswerGenerally I eat after my workout time. A banana and my meal plan. I can't have supplements other than what I can make like a fruit smoothie. Hard to afford $300 a week for that stuff and lose weight.
