Anyone following the primal blueprint? I've been on it a little over 3 weeks, and I'm feeling great. Would love to meet new friends that are following that lifestyle and using their fitbit. Started using my fitbit about a week before going primal. Making slow progress, but I feel amazing!

It's similar to Paleo from what I understand. No sugar and no grains. Carbs from healthy sources--fruits and veggies. (Paleo is no dairy, primal allows it in moderation.)

I'm trying to get back to eating Primal. In 2012, I followed the plan for three months. I was not only losing weight without even trying, I was feeling so much better. Fell off the wagon due to life stresses. Only just now taking time for myself to focus on getting healthier. I'd love to hear more about other's successes following the primal/paleo lifestyle.

I've been playing with this diet for a couple years. It helps me keep control over my blood sugars. I fell off the wagon a few months ago, and now my blood sugar levels are way too high. So I am back on it and my numbers are starting to look better. But I have to go on insulin this week to get things really under control.
I prefer not eating processed foods in general, and choosing grass-fed or wild-caught proteins, organic veggies, etc. But I don't make good choices when I'm stressed. So I'm managing stress, removing toxic people from my life, getting back to good sleep patterns. It takes work to create and maintain a good level of health. Things are moving in the right direction again.

I'm definitely gluten sensitive but no tests that proved it. Maybe I'm carb sensitive instead of gluten sensitive? lol Too much gluten and/or carbs leaves me feeling exhausted and just a general blah feeling. Digestive distress included.
I can eat some dairy (mainly cheese) without an issue. But no milk or ice cream. If I drink a glass of milk (lactose and no lactose), I will be done for the day. I'm SICK. Once I um...get it out of my system... I'll be asleep for at least 4 hours.

Pretty sure Engine 2 diet is no meat/animal fat. Primal is all about meat/eggs/fish/fowl as the base of the pyrimid.

I'm keeping my carb count pretty low. Dairy intake is pretty low and I don't seem to be having any problem with it. I'm down a little over 10 pounds, so I'm definitely happy about that. I haven't tracked carbs, but I'd guess I'm easily under 50 carbs each day.

Forgot... My primary care dr ran all sorts of tests (after the fact) and then sent me to a gasterinterologist. The final result was, it "may" be a gluten sensitivity. He told me I definitely had a dairy sensitivity. My current primary care dr just tells me to go low carb. So I've been thoroughly poked and prodded. LOL I will go back soon for checkups.

It's going great for me. Energy levels are up and my clothes are fitting better! I put up my scales on Monday for his 21 day challenge, but at that point I was down 10.4 pounds. (almost a month of primal eating) I will take them back out again in another couple weeks and see where I am. I'm excited to see the results! I have not tried his vitamins, but I did order his starter kit that had primal fuel in it. It's pretty good! I like the coconut flavor in it (I got vanilla coconut). I have PCOS, so actually the lower carb I stay, the better it is for me.
