Did you mean:

Rapid body fat % increase

My body fat % has been below 10% for years, and suddenly it jumped by double in a week. How does that happen?

it can't.  how are you measuring?  with a scale?  the scales can be wildly inaccurate depending on your level of hydration and other factors.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm using the Aria scale, which I'm not sure how accurate it is. But such a huge jump has never happened before. Went from 8.9% to 16.6%.

Considering the fact that even if you do the measurement with equal hydration, it's only up to 5% accurate, that means an overlap of where you are potentially.

So you are within the potential accuracy.

Considering the fact does some actually have equal hydration, the last or this measurement probably has something different with it.

Eat differently yesterday compared to prior measurements?

Hopefully not a workout day yesterday.

Never thought about that -- I was flying cross-country and was on a train
all day, two days in a row.

Thanks for your input!
