Has anyone heard of Raw Meal? My trainer recommended it as a meal replacement. It takes some getting used to because it contains very little sugar, but it packs a wallop in nutrition. I like it as a breakfast on the go. Just wondering if anyone here has used it.

Hi JRzMom, I have tried Raw Meal. I would recommend getting the flavored kind; I prefer the chocolate over vanilla but that could just be me. It tastes.. reaaaally healthy. 🙂 I personally don't mind the taste of it, but some say it is a little chalky. I like it with almond milk. Adding a little bit of 100% cocoa powder always helps too. The brand makes meal replacement and protein shakes; both are good and extremely healthy.

Is it like a juice or a smoothie? My husband and I have done some juicing in the past (which is Raw). I am always looking for ideas if you want to share the recipe. I know RAW is supposed to be better for you as all the food enzymes are not cooked out. 🙂

It is a protein powder. They have a couple of different flavors, but I like the chocolate best. Have to buy it at a health food store and it costs anywhere between $35 and $55 for the large container. Instructions say to use two scoops per serving, but I find it way too thick so I use one scoop with about 12 oz. of coconut/almond milk. I take one with me for breakfast and mix another one up for lunch. Really keeps you full. Here is a link: http://www.gardenoflife.com/Products-for-Life/Foundational-Nutrition/RAW-Meal.aspx
Mu husband swears by it. He has had problems with inflamation and swelling of his feet. He has been using it for a couple of weeks now and feels much better and his feet are not swollen at all. That is the only difference in his diet (aside from cutting down on red meat) and he is sure it is what has helped him.
