Paleo is right!
Try to confuse your muscles by changing your routine. If walking is your main exercise try to change your route . Make it a little more challenging by adding hills or walking a little further. You could add a few sets of lunges while your walking. If you belong to a gym ask them to change your program . Don't get discourage!
Your body is telling you that you are ready for the next level . congratulation!

@momof3boyss Girl, you're telling me. I've got about 5 pounds to lose. Doesn't sound like much at all, but when you're trying to not lose ANY muscle, it's incredibly difficult.
Change up your workouts. Change up your eating. This will confuse your body enough that it will have to kick into gear.

Intermittant fasting worked for me. I have a window of time that I get my calories in. My feeding window is 12pm to 9pm. I did not reduce calorie intake but took all my calories in during that time feeding window.
It's easier for the body to burn fat when insulin levels are lower. Within that feeding window, your insulin is high and remains high a hours after your last meal. After your food is fully digested, you go into a fasted state. It's within this fasted state, that it's easier for your body to burn fat.
What you're really doing is extending the fasted state, which in a normal daily eating routine is a very small window. In a normal eating routine, the fasted state starts when you wake up in the morning, and lasts until you eat breakfast. For example, lets say you wake up at 5am and eat breakfast an hour later at 6am. That's only 1 hour in the fasted state. With intermittant fasting, the fasted state is extended much further. In my case, it lasts until noon because my first meal of the day is not until lunch time. You're increasing the time that fasted window is open.
It's not for everyone and your body will need to adjust to intermittant fasting, but it worked, for me. Don't see it as an end all be all way to lose fat. See it as a way to get over a weight loss plateau.
