Recipe Calorie Counter

I do a lot of cooking at home and would love to know if there is a recipe calorie counter especially one that uses barcode scanning. Anybody know of anything? I do love the food database using the Fitbit app and it would be amazing if Fitbit could introduce the recipe calorie counter with barcode scanning. Unless of course they already have one and I'm just not finding it.

Hello @arwilson86 I've moved your post, if that is ok, to the weight management discussion board.

They should be able to help with logging food and using the food scanner through the Fitbit app.

where is this weight management discussion board please as I was going to reply.

On the fitbit.com dashboard, you can create a meal with multiple ingredients. Later, when you cook the same meal again, you can add it to your food plan.

  1. From the fitbit.com dashboard, click Log at the top, then click Food.
  2. In the Favorites section on the right, click the Meals tab.
  3. Click Create a meal, then name your meal and click Save.
  4. In the Add Foods section that appears, add an individual ingredient and click Add to Meal.
  5. When you're done adding ingredients, click I'm done - Back to Food at the bottom.

I have a food allergy, so I cook a lot of my own foods. MyFitnessPal.com has a great recipe box feature that you can manually enter recipes or post a link of a recipe online. Tweak as needed, and you have calories and nutritional information. Then I enter here on FitBit as Create New Food. Good luck!
