Okay so... I haven't been back for a while but I'm here again. I've started meal prepping so it is helping, but I also have started taking other supplements and I will wait off on talking about them until I have a solid opinion. but I'm feeling better and I've done an awesome job not going out to eat as much or tracking my calories, as well as planning what I will consume on that day. Below are my results and I understand that during the week I kill it! But on the weekends I go back to binging and all that other bad stuff. . .

USW - 237

SW - Started at 227.6 ( lost 14.1 lbs over about 9 months)(September 17, 2018)

CW - Current weight is 225.0 (October 5, 2018)

PW - 230 (I eat like crap on the weekends and I need to change that)

LW - 223.6 (I get there but then I 'treat' myself and go to far... or I drink too much)

GW - goal weight for the challenge... under 215**... Ideally 210 lbs (October 31, 2018)

MGW - mini goal weight.... to get under 220!!!***

UGW- ultimate goal weight... in general anywhere in the 175-185 lbs

-----So far I've lost 2.6 lbs (in about 2.5 weeks)----

I want to change some of these numbers around but I know in order to better myself for the future I need to keep the same goals and try to push myself

**Also to reach my goal I must lose 3.33 Lbs per week (which sounds hard but is possible)  but I also understand to ideally lose weight and keep it off and things like that they recommend .5-2lbs per week

*** If I can reach 220 by the end of the month I'll be Excited becasue it shows that I'm consistently losing weight and on track!!

Sabotaging myself for many different reasons. I need to stop, breathe and focus. A swift kick where it counts is called for too.

Hi Everyone.

It seems a few of us are struggling. Yep....lets refocus and slam the goals we set ourselves! Cele21 you can do it. You're the one that bought us all together and we thank you for it.

I stayed the same last week and didn't write on here. This week I lost 0.5kg which is only 1lb. I did a shake meal replacement diet last week and my body didn't seem to like it (I don't think my tummy likes the mainly processed diet). I did have a couple of glasses of wine during the week at a function but that was my only slip. And I went for 2 decent walks. This would normally get me losing twice the amount I lost so I think my body might like real food better (go figure). So I decided to go back to feeding myself and have the shakes on standby for those days I'm having a 'I hate preparing food' moment. But the good thing is....I think my week got my mind back in the game. Here is my Tuesday morning weigh in:

SW 09/11/18 - 90.2kg (199lb)

LW 09/25/18 - 89.9kg (198.9lb)

CW 18/9/18 - 89.4kg (197.9)

GW 10/31/18 - 86kg (198.19)

UGW 08/31/19 - 70kg (155)

Update as at October 10, 2018

230.0 - USW - Ultimate start weight (Sep 19, 2018)

219.6 - CSW - challenge starting weight (Sept 25, 2018)

216.4 - CW - Current weight (Oct 10, 2018)  -13.6 lbs since Sep 19 - Yeah!

210.0 - GW - goal weight for the challenge (Oct 31, 2018)

170.0 - UGW- ultimate goal weight (The plan is Sept 2019)

I now realize my 'challenge' goal weight of 210 is not very realistic.  But I am regardless, heading in the right direction.  And I continue to be motivated to track and be mindful of what and how much I eat.  I did really well throughout the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend.  Plus I have been much more active this past week.

This is a good thing!

ok, I am  back again, starting late, but that's ok!! My snacking and eating whatever is now out of control.  I am going to track every day until I lose 10 lbs.  My goal is at least 1 lb a week, so 10 weeks from now I should reach 10 lbs!!!!  I am going to visit here regularly to give me some motivation!!!!

2 days tracking food and I am shocked on how much mindless snacking I did/do.  I am tracking everything and it makes me think twice before I eat it.  I lost 55 lbs 3 years ago, so I know I need to control my snacking.  I have gained 10 lbs so once again I will track my food until I reach my goal.  I need to learn how to stabilize my weight so I'm not gaining/losing 10 lbs every year!!!

@debb21 I was also shocked when I started to track, at how much I eat mindlessly.  I had lost 70 lbs over the years 2006, 2007, 2008.  And then it crept back slowly.  I started using my fitbit, and tracking on September 19, 2018 and am seeing the weight once again start to shed.  I wish I had went back to tracking and activity when I gained back 10 lbs.  Unfortunately, I gained back 60 lbs over the past 10 years.  Since September 19th, I have shed about 15 pounds.  So I am heading in the right direction.  Welcome to tracking and to this discussion group.

May not reach my 10/31 goal but gosh darn it! I refuse to end higher than I started. Don't know what I did this past week to shift almost 6 pounds but I am not going to complain 🙂

So we have less than a week before the end of this challenge. I would like some input on the time-frame of the next one, unless someone else would like to run it - I'm fine with doing so but am willing to step aside if anyone else wants to.

Anyway, we can take it from Halloween to US Thanksgiving  (about 3 weeks) for a short, intense challenge which can help us get ready for the holidays. From Halloween to Christmas (about 7 weeks) which covers two food/party holidays which can test our resolve/planning skills. Or from Halloween to the end of the year (about 11 weeks) which can set us up for a strong start in 2019.

Please let me know your preference.

7 weeks works for me. Don't want to leave just the one week after Christmas handing.

Your results have motivated me to stay at it until I reach my goal!!

The next "contest" doesn't matter to me.  My goal is at least one pound a week, so ....whatever motivates others!!!

Arrrgh! Either my math or my fingers were off!

Halloween to the new year is about 8.5 weeks not 11!
