I began having a daily smoothie a few years ago thanks to the influence of my business partner. Wow! What a helpful decision. My weight dropped from 190# to 165# over 4 years. I also do lap swimming and walking. FitBit says I walked over 2,000 miles last year. The noon smoothie is spinach, lemon, apple, avocado, ginger, cinnamon, cucumber. Recently my wife added another smoothie, made of all plant-based items, including coaoa. The powder is sold by Gundry MD. We use unsweetened almond milk and water. We call it our chocolate shake. Most days we have both. We strive to walk 3 to 5 miles daily, depending on ambient temperatures. We also rarely have red meat anymore. Maybe a Filet Mignon once a month and a monthly hamburger. We rarely eat pizza due to our concerns about American wheat. We seek NON-GMO, Certified organics for virtually all foods.

Any meal drink makes it easier for me to manage protein intake and calorie limits. Others may do a better job of counting calories in food but even the count on packaged food isn't accurate from what I read. It is more critical for small people though probably. A maintenance number of calories for a small person being sometimes 1100 calories doesn't allow many doughnuts.

My wife’s sister is a calorie counter. She can’t give up American wheat.
She “graduated “ up to size 10. She is younger than my wife. Sue is size 6.
Both are 5’2”.

Thank you for sharing your experience with this and your Smoothie recipes @RobinMemphis!
I've been looking for a good recipe to prepare a Smoothie in the morning that is as natural as possible and without GMO's 😁

Delighted you enjoyed it. BTW, I forgot to include the First Cold Press Extra Virgin Olive Oil! We upgraded to a VITAMIX. It even grinds up the avocado seed!
