beforeandafter.jpgThese two pictures were taken a year apart, my son's 2nd and 3rd birthdays. I had my fitbit for about 7 months when the second picture was taken. It has been a year now and I am just under my goal. I just stayed under my calorie goal. Most of my exercise was walking or walking in place, a lot of walking in place once it got cold. After years of trying, I was amazed at how easy it was to lose weight this way. I don't think I could have done this without my Fitbit.

that is fantastic! how much total did you lose in that year? how did you do it? it's exciting to see posts like this. I just bought my fitbit today and I'm eager to see how it can contribute to my much desired weight loss.

I have my calorie goal set at the hardest, 1000 calorie deficit between what I eat and what I burn. I enter my food through myfitnesspal because it is easier to do on on the go. I've lost almost 50 pounds doing that, and just walking, at the time I averaged about 12k steps a day. It works if you stick with it, and treat yourself every once in a while. I would skip holidays, have cake on birthdays, but the next day it was back on track. Good lick and welcome to the fitbit fam. 😁

Right now I am about 104 lbs. lighter than my heaviest. No weight loss surgery, just learning to eat clean and exercise regualry. A new lifestyle. Due to health issues with epilpesy over the last two years, I had put 30 lbs. back on--I've just recently hit my goal that I set in late January and taken it back off!
I am now healthy, strong, and seizure free!

I'm 52. I'm 5' 8". Back in 2006 I lost 20 pounds and weighed 140 lbs. over the next 8 years i put on 28 lbs! I actually exercised 4-5 hours a week vigorously. Last Christmas I got a fit bit with the intent of loosing 10 lbs. By May 1 st I had dropped 20 lbs! I have maintained that loss to date! My fitbit motivates me and holds me accountable to my goals.
