Sudden jump in HRV

Despite being very active both in my job and recreationally, my HRV has always been garbage - between 10 and 40 for the past three years. I never took it too seriously since I’ve had zero cardio issues.

Now, over the past week it’s jumped to 90 and has been steadily increasing to 150 last night with no changes to my diet or exercise routine. It even went up over my birthday when I gobbled sugar and that always screws negatively with my numbers.

I did quit smoking about 8 months ago so I’m wondering if I turned some better health corner and if anyone else has experienced anything like it. It didn’t budge when I quit drinking a couple years ago.

Not asking for medical advice or anything. Just curious.

Hello & welcome @asnes

It could be that you're seeing an improvement in your health now that you've quit smoking. 👍
