View full day's nutrition?

ANSWERED

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this but I couldn't find a forum just for the app. I'm trying to find a way to view nutritional details of my entire day (breakdown of carbs, protein, etc.) Is this possible on the IOS app or the online dashboard?

If you head into the Menu section for MFP, you'll see a tab called "Apps & Devices". Select Fitbit Tracker and log in to your account! It'll sync the step count from Fitbit to add calories to your base caloric intake. All your food logging will now have to be done through MFP and NOT fitbit. They said that "bit" is important. 😛

MFP will show you a macro breakdown as the day goes along and a brief summary of your meals in terms of calories per meal gets updated in the Fitbit app. To check macros etc you'll still need to open up the MFP app. I find myself switching between the two a lot. You get used to it pretty quick!

Happy food logging! 😄

Cheers!

Hi @lorraineg!!

I've been using the fitbit app for a while and I dont think there's a way of tracking your macros directly in the fitbit app. I've downloaded another app called MyFitnessPal which works great within the whole fitbit framework. It syncs to your fitbit account and you start logging all your food intake on MyFitnessPal.

The MyFitnessPal app allows you to track macros and its got almost every food I could think of listed with calories and macro breakdowns. Its even got a barcode scanner for quick entries. You can set your caloric intake level and the macro breakdown and itll let you know your protein, carb and fat intake and how much you've got left for the day. Its a much much more convenient way to track food and water intake. And the data shows up in a summary form in the fitbit app! I'd say give MyFitnessPal a shot! 🙂

Hope that helps!

Cheers!

Thanks so much for the info! I can see the macros in the Fitbit app for the individual foods logged but not for entire meals or the entire day. I had Myfitnesspal years ago so I'll redownload it. How do I get the two apps connected so what I log in MFP shows up in Fitbit?

How is the nutrition view different with a paid subscription on Fitbit? Do you have it?

That works really well! The only thing I don't care for is that all snacks get lumped together. I meet with a trainer once a month to review my nutrition and she likes to know when I ate what. Wish it was all in one app, but I really like being able to see where I am with carbs/proteins for the day. Thanks again!

I haven't found a place on the app. I do log into the website, and it gives a little break down there.

(Does the preimum show these details on the app...or would I still need to log into the website?)

Thanks,

I very rarely bother with the website. I do like using MFP for the nutrition. It's much easier to see if I need to up my carbs or my protein before days end. I do wish I could access that info on the fitbit app without having to add it all up myself but this is a decent work around.

I have no idea if that info shows up with the paid subscription. It would be nice to know.
