Is it just me? Am I the only one having a problem with this. I do great during the week mainly because of my active job. Once the weekend start I feel as if its ok to binge and exercise very rarely. I just feel like its my days to finally relax, but then Monday comes and I have gained weight and I blame myself because I know what the right thing was to do was to make the most of my weekend. I've been better went to the park with my dogs but my body just wants to sit on the couch on a netflix/hulu weekend. If anyone has some advice for me I would appreciate it 🙂

Hi hortdork. I think I feel the same sometimes on the weekends as far as wanting a break or having time to relax. The body does know when it wants/needs a rest too, but I have found that the more I get into moving and fitness, the more that I want to; especially on the weekends when I actually have more time to enjoy it. I think the key is to take that time for yourself when you want it, but don't overdo it with the binge eating. If you want a couch potato day, plan one meal or snack that you wouldn't usually have and make the others healthier choices. You could also get up and move during commericals to get some extra steps in. I basically walk to TV shows now...up and back. I average about 4k steps per 42 minute episode. There is nothing worse than 'eater's remorse' especially when you have worked so hard during the week. Good luck with your efforts!

Meet yourself half way. Take the dogs to the park for a couple hours in the morning and later in the day spend a couple hours on the couch.
