@JanetD your schedule is a tad bit scary and I don't know how you do it!! You seem to have it under control though. As far as food and snacks, are you getting enough protein or eating foods that are filling or just fluff that doesnt hold you? I notice that when I eat fluff it just doesn't do it for me and I'm ravenous when I go home. Lately I haven't had that problem because I make myself go directly to the gym! Do not pass Go, Go directly to the Gym!!! I don't have time to realize I haven't eaten yet and then seems like when I workout Im not as ravenous right after. Today I had oatmeal with crasins in it, a tall chi tea latte and a fruit for breakfast, a pear for snack, sometimes yogurt, for lunch I had light progresso soup, crackers and a fruit. I always have to have some chocolate or I'll end up craving it so I like quaker chewy dips. Didn't eat anything when I got home after work bc I was determined to get to a 4:15 Zumba Class and then 5:30 Spin. I get off work at 3, get home and change then I pick up son at 3:50, get back home to drop him off at 4 then off to gym today for 4:15 class. got home at around 6:45 and made dinner( parmesan, garlic baked chicken breast, pasta and veggie). I like to have dessert so I will usually have a skinny cow ice cream sandwich. Last week I had mini salads with what ever I was eating for lunch and dinner. When Im trying to get extra steps/activity in I walk on my breaks at work or do elliptical before my classes. I guess you just have to make yourself do it!!! Its very hard but we are all here to help motivated each other. You can do it!!!

@Foofoo I totally agree with you about it being nice to have others to vent to who know the struggle!!! I get frustrated when I hear people at work talking about wt loss, when they have no idea about the struggle. Im here for you to vent to anytime.

Foo Foo, you are so right! I've lost 20 lbs so far, and carrying in the 20 pound sack of potatoes yesterday really brought home the weight "I" was carrying around. I still have 51 lbs to go, about the weight of the dog food bag I buy (my husband carries it in, I can't lift it). The main motivation for losing weight and getting fit for me is so that I'll feel better and be able to more more easily. Keep up the good work- you can do this-and so can I!

I am really trying so hard and not a pound, not one. I have not gone that far over calories. I am eating so much less to the point I am hungry and irritated. Even though I am at calorie intake. I am increasing my water intake. I am walking. I am not able to do as much lately, but I am getting out there. I just need to vent for a minute before I eat a whole darn cake or something. Thanks for letting me type....

@pavanne hey don't be down on yourself. You know you might not be eating enough. They say you have to eat to loose weight. Your body thinks its starving so it holds on to whatever it can. Its good to vent!!! Don't give up!! We have your back!!

@Foofoo I agree, it is really weird when you stop and think about how much extra weight we carry. A few weeks ago, I did the American Heart Association walk here in Phoenix and at the end of the race, they had alot of booths set up. There were alot of medical and health care providers there and one of them had a display of what 40 pounds of belly fat looks like. It was awful. All I could think was wow, i have way more than that spread all over my body. It was this huge, bumpy glob of fat. It is so easy to sort of pacify myself into thinking I'm not that unhealthy, but when I'm staring at something like that, and I know thats nothing compared to what's inside me, well, it was another real wake up call. Every pound I lose is a small hunk of fat but has a HUGE positive impact on my health. We can do this. One day at a time, one victory after another!

@pavanne I have days like that too. It gets so frustrating when you try so hard and dont see results. Alot of times you will lose inches even though the scale doesn't move. We just have to keep on keeping on. You can do this!

I finally did it! I am at 10,968 steps! First time I actually made the goal. When the band started vibrating and the lights flashed, I was so startled, hehehe. Can't wait to do it again tomorrow. How is everyone doing today?

Hi, I am new to Fitbit. My name is BethAnn, but I have friends that call me Binky. I am a mother of 3, nursing school student and I am tired of not being comfortable in my body. I know I need help and support, so I hope this helps. I think I need to lose 100lb to be "ideal" but my first goal is 25lb to take small steps. I want my hubby to look at me with that sparkle again. Any and all help is needed and welcome!! Good luck and have a blessed day 🙂

Hi BethAnn, Welcome!! I totally know how you feel. Since I started using my fitbit and syncing it with My Fitness Pal, I've felt so much better. I'm doing Weight Watchers but logging and keeping track of my food is so much easier on MFP. The database is awesome. Since I've started to eat right and workout everything feels better. I feel stronger mentally and physically! Good Luck with your new toy, enjoy it.
