Weight Loss Plan Feature Suggestion for FitBit Developers

So I have a small suggestion for the fitbit developers! Since I've chosen a weight loss plan on my first day, I saw that I was given an estimated date of when I could meet my weight goal. I love this idea, because it can help someone figure out the best plan (intensity) for them based on a time frame (maybe a wedding in two years or before their birthday in 6 months).

So one way I'd like to know that I'm following my plan is through the weight chart we currently have. I weigh myself in the morning and log it every day, and I can see my weight trending in a good direction (yay!), but I have no way of comparing my trend to what my weight loss plan expects me to be at.

I think it'd be a great if we could see another line of another colour that depicts our weight loss plan so we can visually compare where we're at and where we're supposed to be. Thanks!

----------------------- Edit -----------------------

I created a Google Spreadsheet and Chart to demonstrate what I'm talking about.

It is a simple curved line graph with three lines: Projected Plan from FitBit, Logged Weight, and Weekly Average. As you can see, my weight jumps around a lot. Just looking at my spikey line alone doesn't give me much of an idea of anything. I can't see any kind of trend. Looking at my logged weight and projected plan gives me a better idea of whether or not I'm on track, but I'm still lost when comparing the two. So finally, I added a "weekly average" that takes the average of a week's worth of logged weights and plots each point. Now this provides me with the best image of my weight compared to my plan.

Granted, I'm moving in a downward trend as I had hoped I would, but not very closely to my plan. If I expect to lose weight according to my plan, I now know I need to work harder!

I just updated my original post with an example graph that I'd like to see implemented in the FitBit software.

Thanks, developers! 🙂

You can make your suggest in the Feature Requests area, and that might be better for getting the attention of the developers.

Where can I find the idea exchange? I read about it on the FAQ, but I can't seem to find a way to navigate to it. I'm only seeing links for discussion, activity groups and help forums. Thanks!
