At one point I lost about 50 pounds, but gained it all back and more. I really need to get this done for my own health. My biggest problem is food. I deinfietly over eat and do not know how to stop.

I have tried to lose weight many times over the years and always put it back on.
The answer for me was using fitbit. I logged all my activity into fitbit and all my food into myfitnesspal. The real trick for me though was that when I reached my target weight I carried on logging my activity and food and I have now been at my target weight for a year and a half.
My strong recommendation is therefore to use the fitbit weight management process as described in this article:

As a personal recommendation, find many types of food, create a meal plan and follow it 24/7; make sure you write down your meals as soon as you are about to get them; this will prevent the moment where you are holding your food log and remembering how much you ate and underestimating amounts. I have a tiny notebook where I write down the meals and their weight, so when I'm ready to write them down, they are accurate.
Get a food scale and measure everything. Increase your water intake and find different sources or variations for the meals you love that won't take a hit on your caloric budget.
Have a rest day! Enjoy your food and don't miss out on the opportunity to eat different.
Good luck! ![]()

Best AnswerMost important part is to focus on control. There's 3 aspects to look for in losing weight. Diet, Exercise, and a Personal Training System.
Diet is the first aspect. Maintaining control in your diet food, avoiding extras like Starbucks and DD. I only buy my diet food, limited grocery store food, and avoid going out whatsoever. $120 a week. Going out to the coffee shop. That's $400 a month throwing away money on coffee and pastries they tempt you to eat.
Exercise aspect comes in two parts. Cardio and Weights. I do 2 or 3 sessions of Cardio and 2 or 3 sessions of weight lifting a week with a calendar program from Bodybuilding.com.
Personal Training System is the last aspect. Finding a PT program that works for you. Either the $50 a session program or free. You can use Fitstar or you can choose one of many hundreds of programs online such as Jillian Michaels.
Best AnswerI got my Fitbit for Christmas last year. I weighed 270 pounds. Now I weight 211 pounds. I use my Fitbit to track how many calories I am eating for every single thing that I put in my mouth. I have given up Soda, Junk Food, Chipss. I still eat bread but I control the portions of how much I eat. Just use the Fitbit as tool to track what your eating and also to monitor your activities. It's hard at first but you will get used to eat. A few minuets ago I went to an all you can eat Chinese Buffett. Here is what I ate: 4 oz Lettuce, 4 oz Tomatoes, 3 oz cucumbers, 3 oz grilled chicken, fajita meat about 2 oz. No Bread and nothing fried!!! and two tablespoons of Fat Free Thousand Island dressing. I also drank a lot of unsweet tea to get full. Feel free to add me as friend to your list if you ever need more help and advice.
