Whatever floats your boat! I think it’s important people experiment with what works for them. Too often, people assume that what works for them would automatically work for others. We are all different.

About 2 years ago, I lost 45 lbs. This is what I did:

  • No sweet tea or sodas. I let myself have only one glass of sweet tea every other weekend.
  • I ate tons of grilled or baked chicken. I swapped out my pork bacon for turkey bacon. And I swapped out hamburger meat for ground turkey.
  • I only ate when I was hungry. And I never ate to the point where I was full.
  • Whenever a sweet craving hit me at night, I made myself a glass of chocolate skim milk. And I'd keep a tub of Ben & Jerry's in the freezer and let myself have a spoonful on occassion to remind myself that I was human.
  • NO FAST FOOD.
  • AND NO FRIED FOOD.
  • And start moving around. Dance while you do chores. Take the long way around on occassion. Every little bit helps!

Obviously, what worked for me might not work for you because you may have health conditions to worry about. But maybe it can give you some ideas.
