If I burned like 500 calories during my sleep, would they count towards the day? Like lets say I woke up, burned only 2000 calories while awake. Then ate 2000 calories and went to bed. Would I gain or lose weight. Would those extra calories I burned while asleep put me in a deficit. I usually subtract the calories burned during sleep from the calories I burned while awake because It confuses me.

A calorie burned is the same whether it is burned while awake or asleep. Look at calories burned for the 24 hour day.
