Weight Loss

I am happy to share that since I received my HR FitBit (one month ago), I have lost a total of 9 pounds.  I have set my step goal to 12,000 and caloric deficit to 500.  I want to continue on this journey as I feel stronger every day.  My resting heart rate  has also dropped from 63 to 57; mainly due to the every other day 3 mile jogs.

I am experiencing major glitches with the app, mainly when entering calories.  I hope the issue will soon be fixed.  About a week ago, I started noticing a significant slow down with the app in general (iPhone).  I thought the most recent iPhone update would fix the issue, but unfortunately it didn't.  Itemizing food entries for a meal can now take up to 6-8 minutes.  I am afraid that the frustration may lead to me not entering my food and sabotageing my weight goal.  PLEASE FIX THE GLITCH my favorite pair of pants are waiting for me...

Congratulations on your progress!!

It's so much easier to track food if you use My Fitness Pal - which integrates with Fitbit. The Fitbit food logging ability isn't that great in my opinion.

I second using MyFitnessPal. Love love love it for tracking calories! You can sync your fitbit with it so myfitnesspal accounts for your steps in your calorie goal, and the calorie amounts also show up on your Fitbit dashboard. I find that the calorie goals the system sets for me are slightly different with the two apps so I go with the more conservative one.
