Hey All,
I went from a job that I was constantly moving to working at home, and I learned the hard way that there's a price to pay for that luxury. Looking for some challenges, or tips from others to help fight the sedentary lifestyle!

I also WFH full time; it's a real challenge to stay active. Some ways I've found to be successful:
* Leaving the house to take a 1-mile walk in my neighborhood both before and after work.
* Getting in a solid workout in the middle of the day, e.g., my "lunch break"
* Take phone calls while walking through the house
* When I'm away from home, walk as much as possible, i.e., park in the back of the parking lot at the grocery store

Thanks! Yea i started taking my dogs out for walks in the morning, the bad weather days are the worst though. Unfortunately I don't get many phone calls or typically take a lunch break!
I guess I need to start re-arranging my days!

Totally, I feel you there. I work for a software company, where lunch breaks are atypical, to put it mildly.
I found that adding in my own breaks helped me better structure my work day, and may have made me more productive, too.

The idea of "commuting" to work by walking before and after work sounds like a fantastic idea for WFH people.
On a couple occasions where I was able to work from home, I set up my workstation on my kitchen island and did laps around it as often as I can. I work on phones and I and wireless with my phone at home so I can afford a little of that mobility.

What is it you do working from home?
Do you use a laptop? or can you use a tablet to do your work?
Maybe try walking around the area you work if you can carry the equipment you use even better.
Stand up to do your work instead of sitting down.
Take 5 minutes of every hour to do some skipping or sprinting on the spot?
Get up 1 hour early and do some extra training, go out at the end of the working day for some exercise.
