I took the liberty to move this post to the from the Charge 2 help forum to Manage Weight discussion forum, as it’s not specific to a given tracker.
Any activity that raises your HR will cause you to burn more calories. Rather than thinking in terms of zones, think in terms of total calories. For instance, one hour of running will burn more than one hour of walking, but maybe your current fitness level is not sufficient for sustaining one hour of running (whereas it would be for one hour of walking). In that case, you may be comparing 60 minutes of walking to 20 minutes of running, and find that you will be burning more calories walking, even if your HR is lower.
And remember that for weight loss, what really matters is being in a caloric deficit. You cannot think only in terms of exercising, but also need to consider what (and how much) you are eating. Some say weight loss is 80% about nutrition and 20% about exercising. I think it’s not far from the truth. Some people are able to "out-exercise" a poor diet, but they would be a minority.

I pretty much agree with everything that @Dominique has said. Total calories burned and total calories eaten have more to do with weight loss overall. Exercising in the cardio zone can be good for overall heart health. The best exercise program is one that you enjoy, and will keep doing.
