You are doing great with the loss.
Losing weight is really about what you eat not exercise.
You lose weight in the Kitchen and get fit in the gym.
I would add weights to your routine as it does help tone you. At least 3 days a week

Hi Cheryl -- I think 5 lbs in one month is a good weight loss. Experts say people who lose an average of just 1 - 2 lbs/month have the best success in keeping it off. Your water exercise is really good, but remember our bodies get used to having the same exercise over and over and that's where the concept of cross training came in. If I good get control of my sugar cravings, I think I could lose this 40-50 lbs I want to lose because I'm doing a lot of different exercises. I walk about 6 times a week now (I built up to it and actually did almost 5.5 miles today), I work with a trainer once a week - usually boxing or weight machines, and I deep water treat for an hour once or twice a week (although I haven't made it for almost 2 weeks now). Just try to add one more thing to get different muscle groups burning calories. With the beautiful Spring weather almost here, it should be nice walking. Try to get hills in, too. Good luck

Oops -- that was supposed to say "deep water treading" not "deep water treat".

second question...under 'activities' there are two categories for water aerobics....each has extremely different calories burned....wonder which on is the one to choose....our class is 1 hour in length both cardio as well as constant movement
