If i'm using another app to monitor my food intake, should i use it to monitor my exercise as well? I've found that theyre are some discrepencies between the 2.

Tim, it may help you get an answer if you mention what app/s you're using. I personally use Lose It for logging food only, not exercise and I don't log food on Fitbit. Lose It sends calories consumed to Fitbit and, in turn, Fitbit sends calories burned to Lose It. I believe you need a premium Lose It account in order to link Fitbit though.
