Did you mean:

calories too low

Hi Im brand new to the Fitbit world and have started playing around with my dashboard today. Anyways I set myself to having an "Easy" food plan since Im just starting out but its saying then Im only suppose to eat 1800 calories ... other plans Ive been on have had me eatting at least 2000. Does anyone else think thats a bit too low?

You can change to what ever you want. You do not need to stick to the defined ones

Bit low for what?

Don't know what you do.

It's eating 250 calories less that what you burn daily, so that will start adjusting as your daily burn goes up with exercise.

The first goals are based on your selection of activity level - which could be very wrong compared to reality.

But that will adjust as Fitbit has better idea of what you really burn daily.

I was thinking it was a bit low to consume because other programs Ive used in the past have said to eat at least 2000 and that was with subtracting calories. Ok thats good to know that it will adjust as I start filling out things daily, and exercising. Thanks

Most programs start with planned exercise, get an estimate of TDEE, and subtract from that.

So you better do the exercise.

It does allow better planning though, same goal daily, everything averaged out. Hopefully correct amount of planned exercise was selected and TDEE estimate was good.

This way, same deficit exercise or not, and TDEE adjusted daily.

Perhaps harder to plan, but plan on snacks for your exercise to take care of extra calories, meals for the normal calories.
