I was doing really well improving my health but the last month or so I can feel myself taking steps backwards. Does any one have any suggestion to help me get back on the right path.

You need to identify if you are slipping or not. Feeling is not going to get you anywhere, you need to know that you are slipping and in what way.
You should have a plan.
Review actuals to your plan.
Does it deviate?
Course correct.
Repeat
I also suggest not going all gung-ho on this life change and determine successful steps to get you to your goal (SMART plan). Start simple: Eat one less X a day, Walk for X minutes a day, or increase X fun activity for Y minutes.
Lastly, you WILL fail at some point (either a day, a meal, a week, etc.). Follow the steps above and you can correct anything.

Cheryl, I love spreadsheets! I track all my numbers on them. If I enter my step counts each day (for the previous day) I can see what my trends are and because they are there in black and white, I am more motivated to stop a trend in the wrong direction - whether it's my weight or my steps or whatever.
Do whatever works for you. Be kind to yourself, just like you would to your best friend. But encourage yourself, too.
All the best!

I would set up short term SMART objectives. for example.
#1 Specific
Lose 5 pounds, by maintaining a 500 daily calorie defection
#2 Measurable.
In this case it is simple, lbs will be the measurement
#3 Achievable
Is the objective achievable. Yes, I have to the tools and knowledge to complete this
#4 Timebound.
Over the course of the next month
#5 Realistic
Yes, This goal is realistic. Asking to lose 30 pounds in a month, would be unreal.
This would require to track all foods and activities. You can set other goals on top of this. steps a day, or I will add 100 steps a day to my baseline. Sky's the limit.
