6 pounds in a day are simply water (and possibly unprocessed foods). I'm not sure how often you are weighing and what those 10 pounds represent (large or small amount that you need to lose). Try signing up for a free account on trendweight.com to see if you're trending up or down. It's a better option to see which way you're really going.

Weigh yourself once a day at the same time each day. Like just right out of bed after visiting the toilet (before you had food or drinks). 6 pounds difference in a day is normal and as pointed out just the drinks and food you had and did not process yet. So there is no point to weigh yourself multiple times a day.

Yes, it’s exactly as @Esya said. And even then, there will still be large fluctuations for women, because of their hormonal cycle, so you should look at things over a longer period, not just day to day. If your weight doesn’t move over 1-2 months, you’re eating more than you think, or expending less energy than you/your Fitbit think, or a combination of both.

Oops, sorry for that! I have problems distinguishing the new default icons used by Fitbit.
Monitoring weight changes is much simpler for us guys: if your Trendweight curve has been staying horizontal for more than two weeks, it means you haven’t been able to create the caloric deficit needed for weight loss.

I personally use Jing (free, available for Windows and Mac) to capture areas of my screen, save them as .PNG and post them here (and elsewhere). When you save the file to your hard drives, the link is also copied to the clipboard, so it’s very easy to insert it in posts: just click on the Photos icon of the toolbar (when writing a post).

I weigh myself first thing in the morning and measure my waist/stomach with myo body tape measure. You can order it at amazon. Measuring inches on the waist is probably a better measurement than using the scale. But I find doing both is a good way to measure progress.
