Hi! I'm looking for some friends for motivation and support. I'm 51, female, and working on losing 30 lbs. My A1c is pre-diabetic so I'm shedding some weight to try and get it under control.
Anyone?

Hi sbrentley,
Reading your post, have you been checked for diabetes? Those are the main sysmptoms for that. Especially the constant thirst & increased urination. A weight gain as well. Another thought is your thyroid?
Menopause stinks. Went thru it 20 yrs ago after a hysterectomy. The power surges are the worst.
Good luck in your journey.

I would be making my goal more achievable, such as a weekly, fortnightly or monthly weightloss goal rather than a daily one. Because your weight can fluctuate over the week, it may yo-yo on a daily basis

I was diagnosed with MS 3 years ago and my physical activity has gone down so much. I went from running up over 100 stairs 5 days a week to barely being able to walk most days, but I am motivated to reboot myself and t least get back half way to the way I was. We can all do this!!!

snap Cindy!
I lost all of my weight by 2011 (14 stones of it). then emotional up-set hit me, and I lost my focus on me. so I'm back with 50 pounds to lose, would you like to be friends, support and add me.
Dawn

Yes, I have been tested and I'm healthy. The weight gain is in part due to menopause and metabolism changes. I was also in an auto accident over a year and a half ago and have been recovering very slowly from a back injury. Prior, I was very active and I've been so limited in my ability to exercise until recently. I'm back on an exercise regimen and working closely with a PT to do it right. I'll be able to take that weight off pretty quickly. The thirst is still there and the increased urination I'm sure is associated with at times large water intake. Thanks for the reply!
