Can’t edit today. Pencil is disabled.
Period is predicted to start tomorrow. Got it today. I want to log it. I can enter flow, but that doesn’t change my period dates in the calendar. I can’t change the prediction. If I tap and hold today’s date nothing happens.
Work around: I figured out that I can edit yesterday. Tap yesterday, pencil icon is enabled. I can log that my period started yesterday and then drag the period date to start on today and save.
This is is a really cludgy work around, I should really be able to edit today’s date. Should be an easy bug to fix.
Women want to log their period on the day it starts. Are there women on the development team?
Moderator edit: updated subject for clarity

Welcome on board @Jb123123, it's nice to see you around here! Thanks for sharing what has worked for you!
If you're having difficulty doing this, please close and then restart the app. Also worth noting that you should have the latest version of the Fitbit app downloaded.
If a period doesn’t meet the following requirements, you may receive an error and be unable to log the period:
Note that If you attempt to log a period in the future or a period with less than a one-day gap between periods, the pencil icon is unavailable. If you don’t see the pencil icon, make sure the period you’re attempting to log or edit meets all of the requirements.
If there's any questions present, let me know.

"Note that If you attempt to log a period in the future or a period with less than a one-day gap between periods, the pencil icon is unavailable."
Just to confirm, the app is actually DESIGNED to prohibit us from logging a period that arrives early? What's the point of that?

Welcome here @djc2742! During your predicted period, you’re asked to confirm whether your period started. Tap Yes to confirm that your period started or Not Yet if it hasn’t started. Tap Edit to adjust the dates before you confirm your period.
If you confirm a predicted period, the predicted period becomes a confirmed period. If you don’t confirm a predicted period, the prediction remains on your calendar. After the last day of the prediction window passes, the entire predicted period shifts to the next day. Note that the calendar doesn’t update until after midnight.
To get more detailed information, see: How do I use the Fitbit app to track my period?
If you have any questions, let me know.

I suggest updating the app so we can mark a period as arriving BEFORE the predicted window and not having to wait until the predicted window starts to make the proper adjustments. It's almost like your developers didn't bother to ask any period-having-people how they'd like the app to work before designing it.
