Entering Period without changing Previous Periods

I can be irregular.  When I entered in a period 2 weeks after a previous period, it changed the period dates before those.  It made them all to be about 28-30 days apart exactly.  How can I enter in each new period without it changing the dates of previous periods?  Thank you!
