Female Health Tracking feedback

Okay so here is the deal.

Fitbit added the new Female Health Tracker around the same time I had a Hysterectomy. One of the issues I had prior to the Hysterectomy was Menorrhagia. My cycles were extremely short and my periods lasted for several weeks at a time with very heavy flow (anemia level bleeding). So even if I were still menstruating the tracker would not have allowed me to accurately track my periods. Personally I think it could be useful for people with such problems it is just too bad that it doesn't allow for more variability. I have read that women going through menopause also experience a greater variability in their cycles. The 28 day cycle with 3-5 days of bleeding just does not apply to every woman and I dare say with all the hormones in our food it applies to less and less women. There are also a host of other reasons that a woman (of any age) might not menstruate (Turner's Syndrome for example). Although I still have my ovaries without the bleeding bit I wouldn't even know how to use the tracker (now if it had features for menopause I might be able to use it in the future at least). I am in this weird stage of being neither fertile nor menopausal so I want to remove the tile altogether but it just keeps reappearing every time I load the app. Somehow I feel the tracker is both very sensitive and completely insensitive.

Hey there @SunsetRunner, it's nice to see you around here! Thank you for the thorough feedback about the functionally of the Female Health Tracking feature. This has not gone unnoticed and be sure that I will pass this along.

Please take a look if you haven't already. For anything else you would like to see implemented in this feature for the future, consider visiting our Feature Suggestions board. Look under the label "Female Health Tracking" for existing ideas that might match your own and vote!

You might be interested in these suggestions: Female Health Tracking - Add personalized conditions or symptoms to cycle, Women's Health Setup - Ask if user has a period and Menopause (Pre, during and post).

Have you tried the following steps to remove the Female tile? This usually works for users:

To hide the female health tile:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap Edit at the bottom.
  2. To hide tiles, tap the x or -  icon in the top left of the tile you want to hide.
  3. To show hidden tiles, tap the + icon in the top left of the tile you want to show.
  4. To rearrange tiles, hold and drag the tile to a new location.
  5. Tap Done.

I replicated this on my Fitbit app and my Female Health tile was hidden after following the steps I provided above. If this is not working, please do the following:

  • Log out of your Fitbit app
  • Make sure that your Fitbit app is up-to-date
  • Force quit the app
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit app
  • Hide the tile or tiles you want to remove and sync

Let me know if you need further assistance.
