Period tracker view only

Hi everyone,

I use the Fitbit app to track my cycle sind a long long time. I’ve been able to edit a few days ago. But know that my predicted period has started I cannot confirm or edit it. It just says view only mode. If I try to edit it redirects me to a  use of data site. I try to click allow but it will just redirect me to the Fitbit app front page and I’m still in view only mode. This happens with everything I try to do on the menstrual health tab. 
I have already tried to relaunch the app, my phone, my watch. Uninstall the app multiple times etc…I even connected my account to google -.-

I’m having the same issue too. Please could you let us know what’s being done to fix this and an ETA of when we can use this functionality again?

Our team is still working on it, and looking for a solution as soon as possible.

Also having the same issue in the app. A little annoyed that this question was flagged as resolved since it’s not resolved nor do we have an ETA on a fix.
 
It would be great if it is fixed in a timely manner, but honestly not holding my breath. The menstrual tracking has not synced properly onto the charge 6 for years (and before that the luxe) even when the information in the app is correct, it shows something different on the watch. I have requested support for that issue multiple times and many people have commented about the same issue and it’s been YEARS with no apparent attempt to fix.

Thanks I was trying to update my start date yesterday morning and kept getting these results too.  Luckily I use FLO and just log Fitbit as an extra tracker.  Now if they get our friends fully converted to Fitbit (Google) and community post updated to 2025 with challenges, I’d be happier!

I am having the same issue as everyone is noting above plus I cannot seem to get it to switch from a 54 day cycle.  I replaced my Charge 5 with the 6 a few months ago and I have had nothing but problems.  Wish my 5 had not died on me 😞

Will be checking out FLO. One of the only reasons I got this watch was because of that option. Guess I may need to go with a different brand next time.

Similar issue. Period has come early and I am unable to log it (View only). App keeps directing me to pop-up to "allow the menstrual health feature to use your data for cycle tracking and predictions." (I believe I did this a long time ago.) I click, "Agree" and it brings me back to my home page, still unable to log the period.

Do you know how long this will take - there was an update today for Fitbit for bug fixers but this has not changed anything.

Guess what everyone? It’s back to the normal working state. I had deleted the app and reinstalled it today (8/13/25) just now (1900 hrs ET). Good luck!

Came back to say great job! It is working! The trends are beautiful and such helpful information. This is restored my faith in the Fitbit app.
