New owner of a Force bit. Learning lots of stuff. Going to try it out on the treadmill and see how I do. I also use the fitnesspal. Hoping to lose lots of excess weight!!

Got my flex last week and still figuring out how to sync it with other apps...loving the sleep feature and seeing my steps!

These forums and Fitbit in general....provide needed inspiration. If we weren't in need of it...we wouldn't be fitbitters! So YES to your question

Finally bit the bullet and purchased my Fitbit Force. I'm pretty active as I started training about a month ago for Tough Mudder in July. I don't necessarily need the Force for motivation, but I figured if anything it makes a really sleek watch, lol. Also, I'm a nurse and work 12 hour shifts. I'm on my feet non-stop and always wondered how many calories I burned just at work. I guess I'm about to find out. Hopefully the Force will be able to acurately track my HIT Boxing classes as well.

@MarkZ - As a nurse, I bet you get more steps in than you think in a day! I have to laugh at your watch comment, though... for the price of a force, you can get a decent watch LOL... granted, it wount count your steps for you.

I am a newbie. I have never been to a gym. Very sedentary. Hope to improve on a slow but progressive scale.

Hi Gurthang,
You really don't have to go to a gym to exersize. Even if you just started walking everyday after supper or when ever the best time is for you. That's how I started. The hardest part is getting started but once you get your butt up off the couch and start, you feel so much better for it. I am the worst for finding every excuse in the book not to go but then when i realize the weight is coming off, I push myself to get started.
You can do it!!!!
Best of luck to your new beginning.
