I too just got my Flex. Still haven't got everything together yet. I mostly use the app on my Iphone, and I like that.

Hey Folks,
I actually started 2 weeks ago but just had time to check out the Fitbit Community.
I love how you can visually see your progress and calories in and out ... it's helped me lose 10 pounds so far.
Just loving this thing.
Cheers,
R-J-M

Hi Kathy - See, I knew you would! Lol.
A question for you: I set my silent alarm on Tuesday for 5 am, and it worked on Wedesday morning, but today it didn't work, Do you have to set your alarm every day?

Kathy, I figured out the answer to my question. The silent alarm was set for "once", if you want it to repeat, then you select "Repeat", and the check the boxes next to in this coming each day of the week. I will try it again this week coming, I have early morning Spin classes on Tue, Thurs, Fri, and Saturdays'.
So, I think I'm all set up now - bye.

Hi I am Pat M a sixty two year old Scotsman and I bought my Fitbit Flex yesterday. I had been planning to purchase one for quite some time I had a Quadruple Bypass in 2004 and I have had other heart related health issues since then and I have used a pedometer to track my fitness. I also attend a local Cardiac Rehabilitation Program so I thought it was time I invested in a Fitbit as my old Omron Pedometer is over 10 years old.! So I guess it's time for it's retirement. I myself moved from the UK to Ohio USA in November 2003 and married my wife Kathy . I used to work for United Airlines at Port Columbus International Airport, these days I am retired and I spend my time with my dogs, pure bred Siberian Huskies which we used to breed. I am am ex. trucker and owned my own truck in the UK where I used to deliver high value cars. I am also an ex. Royal Marine. (UK Armed Forces)
I am looking forward very much to using the Fitbit so far so good every thing is in sync Computer, Phone and Tablet and they are all working great

Welcome Pat M. I like the signature. 😉
Sort of new person here. Have technically been a FitBit person for years. My husband pre-ordered one in advance of their release, and he's been dedicated to it. I started several months after him, but depsite my desire to stick with things I just couldn't seem to keep the darned thing on me. I'd do ok for a few days, then forget to clip it on, and slide down into failure. Women's office styles just do not lend themselves to good places to clip on things without people asking if it was some sort of new heart or blood sugar monitor ("Are you ok?"), or the unit falling out of pockets, and BFC (bra, front and center) ended up with replacing laundered units. *sigh* My old data has more holes than swiss cheese.
So, I finally got on the Flex train. It's only been 5 days, but this is working great. Set it and forget it. I've made my goal every day since because I can look down and see it there on my wrist and I get up and walk around. I really disliked the cloth sleep band for the other unit. Something about it would actually make me wake up in my sleep and remove it without being aware that I had done so. Litttle Flex stays there the whole night.
Some folks are into a lot of data. I really just want some simple goals and motivation. I like that the Flex isn't giving me specific steps (without checking a smartphone or computer), just the little lights. "Oh look, another light is on!" I love the happy-dance the Flex does when I hit the day's goal.
Good luck other new folks, may we all discover wonderful horizons a few steps down the road.
