@SunsetRunner I'm glald your liking your device and all the activity here.
By adding do you mean add them as friends? To do this click on their name, this will take you to their stat page of the forum, next to their name you will see visit profile. Click that then request friend. I realize that this is not very intuitive, but buy it is only 3 mouse clicks, or on the phone, taps away.

Hi Fitbit community.  I got my fitbit zip earlier in January but have just now figured out how to post in the community.  The fitbit has definitely made me aware of the need to get up and move.  I am following the Curves eating plan and post on their web site as well as this one.  I go to Curves to do my workout 3 times a week.  It's recommended to go 4 times a week but I have to drive over 30 miles to get to the closest Curves location so I only go three times a week.  My husband and I got a recumbient exercise bike for Christmas and I have been on it almost every day since then.  I usally ride it for 30 minutes a day unless I am working out at Curves, then I might do only 20 minutes.  Since I got the fitbit zip I have been taking walking breaks at work twice a day.

Hi all

Been trying for ages to get the extra weight off. Bought a new windows phone and found out it came with a free Fitbit Flex, so here I am. Having a few teething problems with synching but I am sure I will get the hand of it.

Looking forward to peoples success stories and hopefully will be adding mine in November (yes I have alot to loose). Friends always welcome.

Your friendly Northern Monkey

Andy

@ECScottycan you give us more info:

What problem are you haveing?

Is it with the tracker (physical) or is it a problem connecting (syncing) to fitbit?

What type of Fitbit do you have?

What type of device are you using to sync with?

I see that today is the first day you have steps (2663)

So it looks like you are doing something right.

@Moto thank you for your suggestion, having a full charge on your tracker is a good way to make sure you get a solid Bluetooth connection.

It looks like you have been doing your own research in getting your tracker connected, I'm glad to see that you are up and stepping with your steps(2553) syncing to Fitbit also.

@ECScotty, speaking from experience *ahem* make sure Bluetooth is enabled and that you have allowed the pairing between devices.

Okay I should clarify... I was not implying that the others don't havery experience. They do and have wonderful suggestions! The experience which I was alluding to was my own ineptitude. I couldn't sync and as it turned out, the reason was no Bluetooth connection!

I thought your *ahem* made this point perfectly clear, or should I say I read the ahem as been there - done that

As far Bluetooth pairing on the phone goes, on the phone it needs to be on, yes for the most part a no brainer

But as @acerda mentions you also have to tap on the device to get to the device settings and enable bluetooth. ahem you also are not alone in this setting.

This pairing does have to be done through the Fitbit app on the phone or the Fitbit Connect on the computer.

I am newer aswell. Got my fitbit for Christmas and absolutely love it. Have been utilizing it for the past month, but I feel that I would have more motivation if I added some friends and got into the discussions. Feel free to add me if you need motivation too 🙂

Rich I'm glad it came across correctly! I got to thinking after the fact that I could have come across as if I were arrogantly claiming to be an expert!

Just joined today.  Hoping to get the hang of the fit-bit.  I'm not that good with electronics.  Wish me luck.
