I live in Tokyo, Japan. I would like to lose 5kg by August! I have been on a diet for a while but can't stop eating... I go jogging at weekends and take personal weight training twice a week. I also enjoy boxercise. Being healthy and fit motivate me. I LOVE sweets...😊

Welcome here @SunsetRunner! I guess I can relate in the part "I have been on a diet for a while but can't stop eating". 🙊 I was trying to be on a diet but I always said "today is my cheat day" and next day would say the same thing. So, I tried Keto last year and it really worked (never felt like I was craving for food because of the diet). I'm ready for the Keto again, gonna start in Feb though. I'm also looking forward to losing 4-5kgs.

You're gonna make it by August, those 5kg will be gone!

Sweets are my thing, can't even thing about a one favorite sweet food. 😎

Hello MarreFitbit,
A very important message. I have too many friends who are willing to lose weight, but this cannot be achieved due to the constant desire of eating sweets and delicious food, this is everywhere. The results certainly cannot be achieved by will and perseverance, this is a fact, I believe the method that we inevitably follow will help to reach small goals, therefore I always see that we reduce the big goals to a small group of goals that could and are able to be reached through several stages Therefore, we can continue and enjoy for a longer period of time, also should not be in a hurry, follow the progress of weight changes, amount of calories we have and burn in the day, time of activity, quality of effort and quality. I am confident that when you see some results, fatigue will go away and perseverance will rise, five kilos is not a great thing to get rid of, in my view the great thing is how to maintain success after achieving it. I wish you all the best and a healthier life too.

Regards, Louay

I live in Woodbridge a small wine community located 1 1/2 hours from San Francisco, CA and 1 hour from Sacramento our State Capital

I am about a year away from retirement and want to get healthy and stay healthy.

I have a ONE and a couple of smaller Fit Bits (but no charger for the smaller ones) Looking for a new clip for my ONE>  anyone know where to purchase?  Could not find it here on FitBit website.

Walking has become my friend along with my new puppy - CoCo a Chocolate Labradoodle

I hope finding my ONE that was in a drawer and unloved will become my New Best Friend again.  I hope to find chargers for other FitBit trackers as they might be easier to wear on my wrist.

Can anyone give me some ideas?

Thanks again

I'm a senior citizen in Georgia, been tracking with Fitbit for some years.  Now, I have to keep logging in anew on the Dashboard!  I'd always been able to go straight to it, having clicked "KEEP ME LOGGED IN."  What's wrong with the system.  Seniors like myself don't like having to remember all these passwords!

I have been happy with the Charge HR, and the Charge 2 I replaced it with.  I might replace it some day with a version that can be turned off during bumpy rides and such, but I am concerned about future connection problems.

Here goes nothing. This is the first time actively being involved. I've been scared to join, to put myself out there. I'm hoping by being here in the community, it will help to hold me accountable a little more; with that being said, I'm open to thoughts, suggestion, help a beginner out.

Where in the world are you: MN

What is your current health/ fitness goal: high cholesterol, pre-diabetic. I want to be healthy on the inside and the rest will fall in place. 50lbs to say bye to.

How do you like to stay fit: I'm still finding the answer. Walking so far

What motivates you: Currently, not much. I talk myself out of a lot

Favorite guilty pleasure: drinking on the weekends.

Hi @Glorybell

1. Minnesota

2. Lose weight and get firm up.  I have Rhuemetoid Arthritis.

3. I love to walk and do Barre workouts.

4. Seeing changes on the scale and in the way my clothes fit.

5. I don't have osteoarthritis so I cannot offer specific suggestions.  A few things that have worked for my pain has been CBD Cream, limiting the amount of sugar in my diet, acupuncture and limiting the amount of strain on my joints from exercise.  I hope you get some helpful suggestions from others more specifically geared towards osteoarthritis 😊

Don't sweat it. We all started out somewhere. I totally understand where you are coming from. I have a 90 minute commute each way, 10 kids, and a job that takes me out of state occasionally. It is really easy to talk myself out of exercise, but I know that the Fitbit challenges will keep me honest and driving forward. I also get a good bit of satisfaction watching my wife and children walking around the living room while watching MacGuyver or a family Animated show. We are in Georgia and the whole family enjoys the step, active minute, and trail challenges. It would be good to have you on the team! Good luck
