I am new to Fitbit and a bit overwhelmed. I am looking for a bit of inspiration. I am 34 with a weight loss goal of 61 pounds. I am beyond overwhelmed with the amount of weight I have to lose and am lacking confidence. I have tried and failed to lose weight many times in the past. I am looking for friends with similar goals as myself. I suffer from severe depression and anxiety, which seems to be my biggest hurdle.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your goal setting and commitment to live a healthier lifestyle. The first thing to remember is that you didn't gain the weight overnight, it likely was a slow progression over a long period of time. Creating new habits and achieving a healthier weight will also take time, so be patient with the process and most importantly be kind to yourself. Our inner voices can be cruel, but this too can be changed by focusing on gratitude. We grateful you have made this commitment and are taking steps. Be grateful you have a Fitbit and are able to connect with a community of likeminded people. Celebrate your goals, every day you get up, move a little more, think about your food selection and settle in to enjoying taking control of changing your life.
