Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a fitness watch that will tell me my step count, preferably in real-time during a run? It's for physiotherapy to help me get back into running.

So I'm not allowed to ask the community if anyone wants to purchase my Fitbit because I'm unhappy with the features and lack of developer response to customer requests for a feature?

@HaggisBasher   I think others might have chimed in with help if you chose a different forum for your question.  The Mind & Body forum focuses on inspiration and wellness topics and less on device recommendations.  I looked at your profile and I see that you posted in the Ionic forum.  Are you still using your Ionic?  Are you using a different device that has an exercise app?  Devices with an exercise app show real time stats.  You can see steps on the device while running.

I think you might get more ideas if this thread were moved to the Get Moving forum.  I can move it there or any other forum to get you more help.

I'm not sure what you mean in your second post.

@LZeeW Thank you for jumping in, that's a good answer.

@HaggisBasher I noticed that you mentioned that you already have a Fitbit device, which one do you have? Most Fitbit devices will show your steps in real time during running.

I'll be aroudn.

Hi, thanks. What I need is step rate, not step count. So steps per minute is the metric that my physio has told me to control. I see several other people also would benefit from this metric and I understand that other fitness watches might provide it. I have seen no reasonable response from Fitbit for not considering it, only a boilerplate statement about how features are prioritised. So that's why I'm looking for a new watch. And my original post contained a comment about my Fitbit ionic being potentially for sale but it was censored by a moderator!

@HaggisBasher Thank you for the clarification. Sorry about this inconvenience but we don't have that specific feature and I noticed that you already posted in our Feature Suggestion board. About selling Fitbit devices here on the Forums, we don't have that option anymore for safety reasons. But I'm sure you will find someone who can but it in a different platform, since you're looking for this specific feature. I'd like to help you with any other question that you might have.
