Hi everyone!
One of the most important topics in recent times and especially since the start of the pandemic, is how to keep a good mental health. There's an overwhelming increase in anxiety and depression worldwide and it's important to be aware of ways to keep a good mental health; this goes hand in hand with physical health and well-being in general.
Some of the things that I've found more useful are:
What about you? Do you have any tips or things that you've found useful to keep a good mental health?

I LOVE to sing and pre-pandemic, I took up the Ukulele. Since then I've been able to play for the residents I work with, but I also use it to relieve my own stress, since I LOVE music!
I also LOVE to dance and was so bummed when studios around here closed! But I still dance every chance I get. I even start dance parties with the residents and the staff has even gotten involved!
I've also used this time to take some CEUs for my professional certifications, renewed my BLS certificate last week, and I got certified as a Dementia Practitioner last year! I also take enrichment courses, and have gotten some books off my reading list!

Hi Davide!
Nice and right list. My tip would be to start a day with reading a book. Nowadays, gadgets are everywhere, even in a bathroom, and when we get up in the morning, it's a good habit to start it without them. Take a book, read for about 15 minutes and your mind will be filled with the right information, it'll turn on.

That's an excellent list @DramaQueenDiva! You've done so many great things, I never learned to play an instrument but I definitely make sure to listen to music everyday, it just gets me in a very good mood; and it's great to know that you were able to start dance parties with the residents you work with too! 😱
Hi @KatieMidd, thank you! I love this suggestion about starting a day with reading a book; if a good book has the power to change a person's life, imagine if we all started our day with reading a book too. 😀

Learn how to say no. We don't need to "do it all for everyone". It's okay to decline if our plates are full or overrunning. I have to work hard on this one - it's the hardest one, because I love to help people....but we can't be of good help when we're burnt out.

Thank you for sharing @mariefnp! I also love to help people, so I've been working hard on this one for years too.
This is very true, we need to be ok with ourselves and with our environment if we want to help others effectively.

Set clear and firm boundaries. People, whether they mean to or not can take advantage of others who tend to say yes.
Carve out time for yourself at the same time every day; a morning routine helps you start on the right foot. An evening routine reinforces it.

Great suggestions, @lifecoachsophia! I've had trouble in the past saying No to people, but it's definitely helpful to set boundaries. 😀
