Did you mean:

You know you're a Fitbit addict when...

  • You pace the house to get to a particular figure before going to bed
  • You sit down when recharging as you don't want to 'waste' any steps
  • You park further away from the shops to gain extra steps

I love that this post is still going one year on, hope we are all still as addicted today as we were a year ago - I know I am and I have lots of new friends to compete with that got FB's for Chrissy!

I'm still walking around meaninglessly gaining steps any which way I can 🙂

I'm 16 months in. Lost 40lbs stopped wearing my flex past June. Put back on again recently and surprised I'm still averaging 12000 normal day. Had to purchase a new one, sales person tried to push another brand. You know your an addict when you laugh at a sales person for even trying to offer another brand and feel the deep need to spend 30 min educating the associate on WHY the fitbit is awesome

The pizza maker at Papa Murphy's (take and bake pizza) profusely apologizes to you for making you wait when seeing you pace back and forth, when in fact, it took only a couple of minutes, and you were simply pacing to get in extra steps.

You know you addicted when you wake up for the first time in 4 days and get your ventilator out in the ICU, and the first item you ask for is your fit bit. Now, I am just trying to get my step tolerance up to where it used to be. woo go me!

You know your a Fitbit Addict when you go to work 30 minutes late so you can charge your Flex to at least 3 lights to get your work steps in. My steps there are around 4000-5000.

We are looking at a vacation where there is no electricity.  Oh no, not able to charge my fitbit!  Do we cancel? that thought actually crossed my mind. Then I realized I will be on horseback and the tracker will log steps that are not mine if I am wearing it.

Best Answer
What about buying one of those little battery-powered chargers that can charge anything with a USB port?
After all, you got to log walking to the horses! 😉

@AJ6 Just found a nice one for $20 on Amazon, actually these are called "power banks", you charge them up before you leave home, or in the airport, and then use to charge your FitBit (or iPhone, iPad etc). Search USB battery pack on Amazon. I'm looking at "External Battery Charger, Vinsic Tulip 6000mah Power Bank, 5V 2.1A Battery Pack USB Charger."
Thanks for getting me thinking about this, I don't travel much but could even see having one or more of these on hand in case of a power outage from a storm or wildfire!

I know I am an addict to the Fit Bit when I walk from the laundry room all the way into the bedroom for each individual piece of clothing to hang up or put away!  ONE AT A TIME, just to get my steps in.  It is so true.....

omg i wonder if they have a fitbit annonymous group. This is me i pace my house to get to a certain step amount before going to bed. Last night when i wasgoing to bed i looked at my charge and saw 29 floors and had to get out of bed and go downstairs and go back up so i got 30 when it rolled 30 i shut off the lights and went to bed. My husband thought i was the only one that did that. Nice to know im not.
