Activity records

I record my activities.  When I review the logs there is frequently an extra entry labeled "activity record" and data posted in my log.  I did not enter the "activity record."  I am constantly erasing those unsolicited records.  Customer service stated the only way those records are entered is if I entered them - WRONG!  No matter how I explained, I could not get the rep to understand that I want to know why and how these records are added to my data and how to avoid them in the future.  She kept offering to show me how to erase the records.  I know how to erase the records.  I want to know how they get there and how to prevent them.  Is anyone else having this problem?

On another note:  It's bad that Fitbit messed up our sleep records because they have put out a new product.  Every time the company revamps the programming, we the consumers suffer.  Don't fix what ain't broke!

t broke~!!

@bkr Thanks for joining the Fitbit Community! That is strange! Have you experienced this again?

So, you are definitely not logging them manually. However, the other in which this may be originated is by activating activity mode on your One.

You activate activity mode when you press and hold the button. You will see a stopwatch that will track an activity and when you turn activity mode off, a log will appear once synced. Could that be? Are you pressing and holding the button at all?

I have a One. When I press and hold the button, I go into sleep mode.  The activity log happens randomly and I have no idea what triggers it.

@bkr Thanks for your reply! These are the only ways in which your One will create an activity log:

  • Activating activity mode while moving (sleep mode).
  • Using the "Track Exercise" tile option on the Fitbit app.
  • Manually logging the activity.

Are you doing any of those options?

If you are not, try performing a restart on your One. Do this a couple of times and use it to check if that will happen again.
