After syncing my Fitbit One it lost the most reacent 2 days data, but uploaded the other data for tge other days. Also it is frequently changing the time so it is incorrect, randomly. I am not certain what is going on, but it is very frustrating as keeping track of that information is the whole point of having a Fitbit. So I almost feel like what's the point. I loose my biggest days. Please help any ideas why it would not keep the most recent 2 days but keeps the older days by chance? Thanks for any help!

Hello @Crissyfer,

Welcome to the community!

By any chance are you:

  • Using your Fitbit tracker until the battery expires.
  • Charging your Fitbit.
  • Start using it again before syncing your tracker.

If so, then this would explain all your symptoms.

Fitbits are like wall clocks, they keep time until they lose power and when they have power again (you charge them) they continue to keep time, right where it left off.  So if you expired the battery on Friday and charged it on Sunday, the moment it got charged it still thought it was Friday.

So, when this happens, you still got credit for the 2 recent days of data...  You just got credit for them on the wrong days.

Also, the moment you sync a Fitbit it should appropriately update the time based on your current time zone.

If this sounds familiar, my advice to you:

  • Sync often.  Not only does this make sure that your data is current, but it also allows the Fitbit servers to notify you when your battery is running low.
  • Do not allow your battery to expire.  If you sync consistently, you should get a notification a full day before the battery expires.
  • If your battery does expire, sync it before you start using it again.

I hope this helps.

Try a restart. Do it at least 3 times.

Thank you I will try that @PureEvil, I will try that and see if that will correct my issues. Problem in the past is that my Samsung phone sucked too much power keeping the constant sync on and now I am waiting for my new IPhone which hopefully should resolve that and allow for me to keep better tabs on it.

Thank you for your suggestions and help!
