Battery Low Message

I just got a Fitbit one today and I received a message that the battery was low.  I plugged the charging cable with the One attached into a USB in the back of the Mac.  The dashboard indicates that it's connected, but nothing is happening.  What would you recommend?  Thank you, Tinsel

Try a different USB.

 

But first push in the button you will see a battery charging.
