Hi all, I got myself a Fitbit one for christmas with a voucher, and after having to return the first one (the charger was missing), I now have the second replacement one. However, it says the battery should last around 2 weeks, but I struggle to have mine last for at least 2-3 days.
I've stopped using it for sleep tracking, I don't use silent alarms, I've turned off all-day sync on my phone app and have stopped pressing the button so much (probably check my steps 2 times a day?)
And I still am charging it every day or two....
I love my One but I'd love it more if it held it's charge for the 2 weeks! Or even just more than a day or two!

Hello @CapnSarah,
Welcome to the community!
It does sound a bit suspicious, even my aging One will keep a charge for at least 7 days.
I know for a fact that if you leave the Fitbit App running (independent of of turning off All-Day sync) and the Fitbit connected, it will drain the battery. Some folks like to do this while they're on the treadmill so they can watch their steps count up one at a time.
I may try two things...
First, restart your tracker. I'd probably hold the button down for closer to 20 seconds. If you see the firmware message "FITBIT 6.60", you know you have done it correctly. This may get it working correctly.
Second, it may be due to the Fitbit App (incorrectly) staying connected to your Fitbit for too long. I may try turning off bluetooth entirely on your phone (unless you're actually syncing) to see if that affects the battery life. If you can't turn off your bluetooth, I believe that logging out of the Fitbit App accomplishes the same thing.
Let us know either way. I hope this helps.

Thank you for the speedy reply!
I've usually got bluetooth turned off on my phone, but I'll stop sycning it as often.
I restarted it, so I'll see how that goes, it is now on a full charge so hopefully it decides to last a little longer!)

Okay no such luck 😞 after being fully charged yesterday, it's already back down to half a charge today and I've cut down everything and turned off bluetooth on my phone, etc.

Hi @CapnSarah.
When new, trying to fit the Fitbit One in the charging cable can be difficult, as it is a very tight fit. You first have to align the contacts on the underside of your One tracker with the ones inside the charging cable and push real hard until you feel and hear the contacts click. The other end of the cable must be plugged into a powered USB port on your computer (not all ports provide power) or a USB wall charger.
You probably did all this right - just thought I'd mention it, because we struggled with ours (my wife and I) when we first got our Fitbit One trackers. After a month or so of use, it got a lot easier of course, but it was challenging at the beginning.

Thanks for the reply! I've had a One before and never had any troubles charging, I've tried charging through both my USB ports in my laoptop as well as in my phone wall plug as well 😞

Well @CapnSarah, it sure sounds like your One is defective, in which case I would get in touch with Customer Support and see what they can do for you.
Good luck! Let us know what transpires.

Hi again @CapnSarah. That's awesome. The One has a pretty good record on battery charge, so I'm hopeful that your new One will work just fine. Cheers!

Support has replaced 3 for me for the same issue. I fully charge my One and in 2 days it's at medium battery level. On the 4th day, it's completely red. A co-worker has the flex and it's doing the same thing.

Hi, I have been using FitBit for a few years now and love it! Lately, though my ONE has run DOWN battery all the way, then I plug it in to USB and it says FULL immediately, and then disconnect and clean the contacts and etc. and says full again...Usually when it goes low I get a text or email that says it's running down and it is usually not less than 7 days, now it is happening daily. All is turned off as far as bluetooth, I force sync when I get to my computer, so that's not it and I don't check it but once or twice in a day. HELP
