My beloved Fitbit fell off unbeknownst to me while I was cleaning the yard. THREE days later I found in under the pile of leaves that I left to clean up later. I was overjoyed but all for naught as my Fitbit no longer worked! I cleaned it up very nicely and recharged it but except for a slight initial response, it went dead. Is there any hope at all for a miraculous revival or is there no hope?

Hi, @Eileen33, if it got wet, you might be able to revive it by putting it in a bag of rice for a few days. Unfortunately it probably would have been much better to have done this before you attempted to charge it... Once it has been in rice for a few days, give it another charge and then try a restart. Repeat the restart a few times if nothing happens.
If you still get no response, you might want to get in touch with Customer Support (contact.fitbit.com) . I have heard that they sometimes offer loyal customers a discount on a new Fitbit even when the warranty doesn't cover the problem.
