Calorie burn has increased

Holy cow I got rid of my charge because the calorie burn was overstated and went back to my one. My calories burn have been consistent since the days of my ultra. Now the one seem to have increased calories burnt that are 500 more a day than the used to be. I get the whole bmr thing so it's not that. Has anyone else with a one noticed this. It started last weekend. Very disappointed if the changed the formulas to be more like the wrist ones. I know I don't burn 2800 a day

Same here. My One shows my calories burned have increased magically overnight from about 2,200/day to about 4,600/day yesterday and today. There's no way that's accurate. Is there any way to fix this?

@SunsetRunner @KathyJK It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! There are a couple of things to take into consideration. The first one is the BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) (check @WendyB's post for more details) calculation your dashboard does using your personal data (height, weight, age, gender, etc.), which represent the amount of calories you burn in a day just by being alive (breathing, brain activity, heartbeats). This number of calories can increase if, for instance, some of your personal information was changed, this is the second thing to take into consideration. Check your profile setting to check if all the information is correct.

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

Sorry moderator if you read my post you wools see I get the whole bmr thing and you would see I have had the one and the ultra. How if my daily activity is the same does my calorie burn jump by 500 calories a day. I have the records on my phone. Also the other person who responded had the same issue but a much greater increase. It's the whole reason I did not keep the flex charge or charge hr. I loose 40 lbs keeping
Ng a spread sheet before fit bit. I understand bmr. Which in my case is 1300 a day. 12 miles a day a 75 calls a day brings me to ab average calorie burn of 2300 a day. That has been what my fit bit has said for 5 years. Something is not right. I used to be able to check a box that said disable automatic burn. That is now gone

Thanks for your reply @SunsetRunner. Make sure you have updated the iOS Fitbit app to its latest version (follow @MarreFitbit's steps). If still nothing, contact customer support and report the problem there to get further assistance. Smiley Wink
